Time for Taste ‘n’ Tell - England - KS1

Aim of the Programme

The aim of the programme is to familiarise pupils, across the school year, with 80 selected food types chosen from the four key ‘healthy’ food groups.

The programme utilises a bespoke set of teaching resources aimed at providing teachers of KS1 level pupils a comprehensive elementary knowledge of food types, origins and health benefits.

Curriculum– Helps compliance with the new compulsory Health Education components due to be mandatory from September 2020. Demonstrates to OFSTED a physical engagement programme centred around food sampling and exploration, including an element of parental participation. Fits in with other guidelines: CIF, School Food Plan and DOE Healthy Child Programme.

COST OF THE SCHEME
The Discovering Food Programme- Time for Taste ‘n’ Tell for KS1 costs £165 for a whole year. The Reception and KS1 programmes can be purchased together as a service bundle at a reduced combined price of £245.

PAYMENT METHOD
Payment can be made by BACS or cheque prior to the commencement of the September 2019 term. Arrangements are available for a deferred payment till April 2020 to allow for school budget arrangements. (please enquire by emailing info@tastentell.co.uk to receive further details of these)

The aim of the Early Years Reception programme is to familiarise the pupils, across the school year, with 10 fruit and 10 vegetables.

The programme utilises a bespoke set of teaching resources aimed at providing teachers of Early Years Reception pupils an entry-level knowledge of a range of selected common fruit and vegetables
